This is a blog about one of my favorite TV Shows of the past. There were many, however for me it was Lost In Space from producer Irwin Allen. In my opinion, it was a better show than Star Trek. The opening theme of the show was even a classic. The Musical Score composed by John Williams ( yes he of Star Wars fame). 7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Blast Off !!!!!!!!
The Musical Score and Video:
The shows were creative and had many characters that as a viewer made you think (could this be what life on another planet is like). The episodes below are my favorite.
Classic Episodes:
• The Time Merchant
• AntiMatter Man
• The Golden Man
• Two Weeks in Space
• The Haunted Light House
• Hunter’s Moon
Here is the Classic Episode first on my list:
The Time Merchant
The Haunted Lighthouse
The Golden Man
This episode was about the old addage: “Evil can arrive in Beautiful Packaging” This episode was about 2 warriors that were about to engage in a WAR for the planet they now inhabit of Xenon.
The first warrior was The Golden Man. ( Mr. Keema) A warrior covered in Gold who we are introduced the opening. After the Robinson’s receive gifts of Food, Pearls, and a pair of Golden Gloves. The way the questions & answers are asked, are in this sequence:
Penny: Who sent this Magnificent Treasure?
Mr. Keema: I did!!! (Exploding in a puff of smoke)
Penny: A Golden Man
Judy: Why would you give us such extravagant gifts?
Mr. Keema: Because you are my friends and friends look out for each other.
Mrs. Robinson: We can’t accept your Magnificent Gifts, Mr. Keema.
Mr. Keema: Think nothing of it Mrs. Robinson, for you are good people.
Mrs. Robinson: Okay maybe just one item.
Mr. Keema has now put his diabolical plan into action, and that is to get the Robinson’s weapons and to destroy his enemy and then the Robinson’s.
The Bumbling Dr. Smith gives their weapons to Mr. Keema and this is the dialogue spoken between the two at his cave.
Dr. Smith: Mr. Keema where are you? I have gifts for you.
Mr. Keema: Dr. Smith you have brought me arms, I can’t Thank-you enough.
Dr. Smith: I ask only that you destroy that wretched beast he is deplorable.
Dr. Smith: Mr. Keema couldn’t you destroy your enemy with this almighty weapon.
Mr. Keema: (Exclaiming Forcefully) Don’t Touch!!!! you see Dr. Smith that is my Galactic Cannon because my enemy is equal in strength to me, we each have a weapon that will cancel each other out.
Dr. Smith: That is why you needed our weapons.
Mr. Keema: Exactly Sir.
Dr. Smith: Oh yes, I see, that is what friends are for to administer “The Hand of Friendship”.
Mr. Keema: Ah Yes, “The Hand of Friendship”.
Dr. Smith: ( Who reaches for the hand on his shoulder, but something is wrong, it is not a human hand). He screams out ( “AHHHHHHHHH” in bloodcurdling tone”) as he is looking eye to eye at a hideous Alien.
Dr. Smith: Where is Mr. Keema?
Mr. Keema: I am Mr. Keema.
Dr. Smith: No, No, No that can’t be, for the reason, you had saved Judy from the minefield.
Mr. Keema: I also planted the minefield. The sympathy from the family is what I needed to obtain your weapons. So now that I have what is needed, there is no need to hide the truth anymore.
Mr. Keema: Once I have destroyed my enemy, then I will destroy you and the rest of your party.
Mr. Keema: “Out!!!!” “Out!!!!” “Out!!!!” The sight of an earthling sickens and repulses me I would never want to be associated with one.
Dr. Smith races out in FEAR. HE IS AFRAID OF WHAT HE JUST WITNESSED!!!!
